Dreamy Chia Fruit Salad

Ingredients:
- 1 can (15 oz) fruit cocktail in juice (not syrup)
- 2 tsp chia seeds
- 1 tsp ground flaxseed (optional)
- 1/4 tsp turmeric (optional)
- 1/2 cup Cool Whip (optional)
- 1/3 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/3 cup cashews or slivered almonds
- 1/2 cup mini fruit-flavored marshmallows
- 1 segmented tangelo or mandarin orange
- 1 banana, chopped
- 1 apple, chopped
- 32-40 oz vanilla yogurt (or to desired consistency)
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, pour the can of fruit cocktail (with juice) over chia seeds. Stir well.
- Optional: Add flaxseed and turmeric. Mix again.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight or up to 48 hours.
- Once chia has absorbed liquid, add chopped fruits, marshmallows, sunflower seeds, and nuts.
- Fold in the yogurt and Cool Whip (if using) until evenly mixed.
- Chill a bit longer for best flavor blending, then serve cold.
