Turning about in slow circles, his eyes took in everything and nothing all at once, the landscape somehow too surreal to be comprehended.

"It won't be as easy as you seem to believe, my lord," Harley shouted into the nothingness. He pulled free the long, wodden stake he had sheathed at his side. "I'm not the untried youth you once took under your wing, I am a man. I am more than a man. I am an immortal! You cannot kill what is meant to last forever!"
