Hey, there, just a quick ask concerning my book, Undying Fire, which I've placed on sale for 99 cents till the end of the month. I was playing around with the keywords and trying out another method to see if the book can get found by new readers. The first idea was to add more keywords into each box so it would get more hits, and I wondered if anybody would try running a search for vampire books like they usually would and let me know things like what you typed and whether it show up.
The second thing is, most readers won't go see a book that has only one review. If you've read Undying Fire, or if you get it during this sale and would like to let other readers know what you think of it, could you please click this link and leave a review? You don't even have to go look for the book itself and click "review this book" if you use this one. Thanks so much. You can find the link to Undying Fire itself down in the freebie section.
You guys rock!
This is more for writers, but I thought some readers might also think it's cool to know how amazon finds the books you search for. Basically, the author inserts 7 keywords into little boxes while uploading the book files, and the amazon algorithm uses them to look for it.
I've been using three word phrases in my boxes, but just learned it is better to fill the box because amazon will scramble the words in there and come up with other results. I have not yet optimized mine by a long way, but for the curious here is what I just put in there to see what I'd get.
If you can think of better words to use or decide to play around with this, I'd love to hear back from you on where and how you might have found Undying Fire with these or other phrases. I'm still learning here, and I'm really excited to find out if I'm making any progress!
reincarnate vampire spouse track lifetime unite
undead detective murder mystery job promotion
forensic evidence unusual case seedy underworld
subterranean demon quest forbidden entrance
undying lovers flame passion intense heat reunite
bitten drink blood transformation sexy beach
loyal thrall stubborn untamed desire freedom
So, how it works is that amazon will show Undying Fire somewhere in its feed if someone puts in "reincarnate vampire" or "reincarnate vampire spouse", as an example. It will also show up for something like "vampire lifetime", but not for words from the other boxes, so you won't see "track passion"...or at least, not to my understanding. Feel free to try that and tell me if it works...that would be really cool! And, if you don't have a copy yet, I hope you will go and have a look at the book. It's one of my favorites, and I'm hoping it will become one of yours too.

Written as a companion guide for the Worldbuilding Workbook, you can grab this as an ebook, or better yet purchase the paperbacks together for a more hands-on experience. This companion book is meant to be a sort of instruction manual on how you use your workbook, but also contains suggestions on how to use a three ring binder and create a workbook of your own instead.
