The message from Admiral Pygor was clear - he was claiming our planet for his own. Amidst the panic and confusion, Elise Brandon, a brilliant historian, was given the daunting task of authenticating a million-year-old contract that would determine the fate of humanity.
But as Elise delved deeper into the mystery, she found herself caught in a dangerous game of cat and mouse with the handsome extraterrestrial. Instead of doing her job, she ended up taking him to a Christmas party and then back to her bedroom. Just when things seemed to be going well, disaster struck - Pygor's ship was destroyed, and only one shuttle escaped, crashing somewhere in the California desert.
With time running out, Elise and Pygor must embark on a desperate mission to get him back to his people and to discover the fate of his son. But as they journey from one coast to the other, the pair are far too aware that they are not the only ones in search of the crashed shuttle. As tension and danger escalate, Elise must navigate her growing feelings for Pygor while fighting for their survival.
"When I heard that I was about to make first contact with an alien commander, it kind of got me hot under the collar," she explained. "But when I saw a picture of you from one of the spy cameras, well, that sealed the deal for me. Sign me up, Captain."
"Just what I like--a woman of substance," Pygor grumbled. "Here the people on this planet are about to become homeless, and all you want to do is mate. Pity, I had hoped for something more."
Elise straightened up and looked him squarely in the eye. "So, it's to be strictly business, then?" she asked briskly as she pulled a tiny computer terminal out of the back pocket of her over-tight jeans. Donning the glasses she had just mentioned, she looked at the small screen momentarily. "Let me see the contract in question, first of all. I believe there are usually stipulations in such documents, yes? I need to know precisely what they are."
