"Cool," Anna commented as casually as she could. "I think I'm going to write about this in my journal."

"Journal?" Jake repeated curiously. "What journal is that?"

"I decided since I'll be going up to the moon and all I should keep a journal documenting everything that leads up to getting there. People are going to want to know, later on, what we went through on the way. I tried to get my family to keep journales, too, but none of them seem to be interested in the proper documentation of history. So, how about you? I bet people would be really excited to know about your pre-Lunar experiences. Why don't you start one?"

"Well, I don't know," Jake hedged. "I've never been much of a writer. I actually do keep a sort of record, though. i draw cartoons of things going on in my life, and sometimes I draw stuff about possibilities. I hate to brag, but there's some pretty funny stuff laying around my house."

"Wow, that's a great idea!" Anna clapped her hands as she latched onto the topic. "A pictorial view of the world through the eyes of Jake Roberts, intermingled with the journalistic expertise of Anna May Darcy, pre-moon style. I write my journal, and you draw. We could wait till we're on the moon and put together a really cool book. But you should try to write stuff, too, though. I think people will want to hear more than one story."

Most of my work is in the "a bit more fun" category, but this book is somewhat tamed down because of the age of Anna May. This story is very sweet and wonderful, and I really enjoyed bringing it into the world. You might also notice the style is quite different because a lot of the story is told through the pages of Anna's diary.
